The Cool Conference Live experience has been put together
by an eclectic group of visionaries. Their faces
are not important. We do not have any Wall Street mug shots.
No Botox smiles, business suits, or power ties. But here is
a little information about our off-beat team.
CEO: Don Straits, the head high honcho, is a corporate
warrior with many battle scars. He has "been there
and done that." We will leave what “that” is to your
imagination. His simple philosophy is to break rules
that others tell you not to break. He sees opportunity
when someone tells him “you cannot do that” or “it’s
not done that way.” He is a former university professor,
business leader, motivational speaker, and executive
coach.
CTO and Webmaster: All of our web development has been done right here
in the good old USA, by our part-time webmaster, Darin Kadrioski. Yep,
you heard that right—part time. Working part time, he has done what it
usually takes a team of 20 full-time developers to do in a year. He eats
technology for lunch. He takes extraordinarily complex Flash and Cold
Fusion code and turns it into user-friendly, intuitive applications.
When you sign up as a member, you will be blown away by his cool code
and features.
VP, Administration and Customer Service: Our admin wizard Joelle Silva sees
to it that we all stay on track. She keeps us organized and won’t let us
get away with anything. Darn. She has awesome technology skills coupled
with an outgoing, exuberant personality . . . a rare commodity. She is a
member of The Red Hat Society and a registered member of Heartless Bitches
International. Don’t mess with her or you will be in real trouble.
We all love her.
